The Ghana Police Service has apprehended an individual linked to a robbery that took place on the Odumase-Badu road, close to Sunyani in the Bono Region, around 7pm on Tuesday, 16th April 2024.
During the incident, the apprehended suspect, along with several others who are still being pursued, ambushed and robbed both students and lecturers from the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) who were on their way back from a field trip. Tragically, the attack resulted in the death of a student named Abdul Aziz Issah. Additionally, six other students suffered minor injuries but have since received treatment and been released.
